Its pretty simple for the Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes on Sunday: a win equals a ticket to the playoffs. David Beverly Jersey .Toronto (7-9) visits Montreal (8-8) for its first road game in five weeks. The Argos went 3-1 on a recent homestand, including a 26-24 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday that gave them the season series with their longtime rivals.Catch the game on TSN1, TSN3, TSN4, and TSN5 starting at noon et/9am pt. You can also listen to the game on TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto and TSN Radio 690 in Montreal. But it wasnt pretty as Toronto had four turnovers (three fumbles, interception) and was penalized 12 times. Then again, turnovers and penalties have been the Argos nemesis all season.A win Sunday would secure Toronto the season series, which is the tiebreaker should the Argos and Als finish with identical records. If the Argos finish the regular season by beating Montreal and then Ottawa on Nov. 7, it will take first in the East and host the division final.Montreal can clinch a playoff berth — for the 19th straight year — with a win. And the combination of a victory over Toronto and Hamilton loss Friday night to Ottawa would give the Alouettes top spot in the East. That would be remarkable after Montreals dismal 1-7 start this season. The Als will conclude their regular season Nov. 8 in Hamilton against a Ticats team thats unbeaten at Tim Hortons Field. The Als, Argos and Ticats are battling for just two East Division playoff spots as the fourth-place finisher in the West Division — B.C. or Saskatchewan — will cross over and become the third Eastern post-season seed.Idle Saskatchewan (9-8) has clinched a playoff berth and will be on the road for either the East or West semifinal game.Montreal comes in with a 5-3 home record while Toronto is just 2-6 away from Rogers Centre. The Alouettes are also 5-1 within the East Division while the Argos are 3-3.Torontos lone loss on its homestand was a 20-12 decision to Montreal on Oct. 18. The Alouettes defence was stellar, forcing three turnovers and holding the Argos to four field goals as CFL passing leader Ricky Ray threw for just 202 yards with an interception.Jonathan Crompton was 19-of-28 passing for just 219 yards and a TD and fumbled three times — losing one — but still led Montreal to its fifth straight win. Crompton is 6-1 as the Als starter despite having yet to throw for over 300 yards in a game. Its the Als defence that has anchored the five-game win streak, having allowed just 60 points over that span. And Torontos penchant for turnovers doesnt bode well against a defensive unit thats recovered 21 fumbles and forced 44 takeaways, both league highs.Pick — MontrealHamilton Tiger-Cats at Ottawa Redblacks, 7:30 p.m., ET on Friday night.Hamilton (7-9) could have clinched a playoff berth last weekend in Toronto but now must win its final two regular-season games to reach the post-season. The Ticats are 2-0 this season against expansion Ottawa (2-14) . Newcomer Nic Grigsby had just six yards rushing on six carries versus the Argos. Its expected the Redblacks will be auditioning talent for next year, which could pose continuity problems.Pick — HamiltonWinnipeg Blue Bombers at Calgary Stampeders, 4 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. What started so positively comes to a crashing halt for Winnipeg (6-11). The Bombers opened the season 5-1 but have just one victory since and dropped eight straight. Quarterback Drew Willy was sacked 10 times in last weekends 28-23 loss to B.C. Calgary (14-2) has clinched first in the West and can rest key veterans but roster depth has been key for a team thats a CFL-best 7-1 at McMahon Stadium.Pick — CalgaryB.C. Lions at Edmonton Eskimos, 7 p.m. ET, on Saturday night.Edmonton (11-5) can clinch second in the West with a win and home field for the division semifinal. B.C. (9-7) is battling Saskatchewan for third although both teams have cemented post-season berths. Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian needs just six tackles to break the CFL single-season record of 130. Both defences are outstanding, which could lead to a low-scoring affair.Pick — Edmonton———Last week — 4-0Overall — 50-23         Tim Boyle Jersey . -- The Phoenix Coyotes have won three in a row for the first time in 4 1/2 months, and theyve done it just in time for the stretch run to the playoffs. Jug Girard Jersey .Torres scored the first goal by an English team in the knockout phase of the Champions League this season when he met Cezar Azpilicuetas cutback in the ninth minute of their first leg match in the last 16.But Chelsea failed to make the most of its counterattacks and the Turkish champions equalized in the second half after gaining in confidence and cutting out their defensive mistakes.WASHINGTON -- The first three times the Washington Wizards reached .500, they lost their next game.On Wednesday against Boston, the Wizards get their fourth shot at the break-even point, and they hope its the last time."Its not a magical thing (where) I think all of a sudden fairy dust is going to fall on us if we get over .500 (and) were not going to lose another game," Washington coach Randy Wittman said. The Wizards havent been over .500 since Oct. 31, 2009, when they were 2-1.After their 107-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, they were in no mood to admit that it was always on their mind. Players shouted to each other to ignore questions about the mark, but none did."Were aware of it, but we just have to not even think about it," Bradley Beal said.Beal nearly had his first career triple-double. Two days after he missed 12 of his 14 shots in a loss to Detroit, Beal had 22 points -- 13 of them in the second quarter when Washington built a 10-point halftime lead. He also had nine rebounds, a season high, and eight assists, equaling his career best.Marcin Gortat had 19 points and 11 rebounds. Kevin Seraphin had 16 points for Washington. John Wall added 14.Each time the Wizards reached .500 this season, their next game was at home, and they lost to Milwaukee, Dallas and Detroit."Were done with that," Gortat said."Every time we talk about being a .500 team and getting over .500, we have teams coming in here and just punking our butts."Michael Carter-Williams led Philadelphia, which has lost seven of eight, with 31. Thaddeus Young had 18. Spencer Hawes had 11 points and had a season high 16 rebounds.Carter-Williams and Young scored the first 19 Philadelphia points in the third, but the Sixers trailed 70-66 midway through the period. Washington led 86-73 after three. The Wizards were ahead 100-79 with 6:07 to play, but Philadelphia scored 13 straight to trail by eight with 2:26 left.Washington didnt make a field goal for more than eight minutes in the fourth quarter. Wittman substituted for his starters, but after the bench played poorly, the sttarters came back in to stabilize things. Jake Kumerow Jersey. ."Youre always on audition," Wittman told his bench."Those guys got to learn. Guys that want to play or think they should be in rotations better show me out there where it counts."While the Wizards are 20-20 and hope to reach the halfway point of their season a game over .500, the Sixers are 13-28. Expectations were low when the season began, but Philadelphia won its first three over Miami, Washington and Chicago. With more than three weeks until the league pauses for the All-Star game, coach Brett Brown is still hopeful his team can improve."Youre getting ready for spring break, and everybodys going to Fort Lauderdale, and theres a time where you can dig in pre-All-Star break and finish this middle third of the season with some grunt," Brown said before the game.In his rookie season, Carter-Williams said it was hard to sometimes stay with it."Ive never played this long of a season so Im learning each and every day and Im going through it a little bit. My body is tired a little bit, mentally Ive got to stay strong," Carter-Williams said.Carter-Williams was 13 for 22 from the field, had six rebounds and five assists as he tried to keep Philadelphia competitive."He felt the need to take the game and try and put us back in a position where we could inch our way back in it, and he did," Brown said.NOTES: Wizards swingman Glen Rice was assigned to Iowa of the D-League. Rice had right wrist surgery last month, and coach Randy Wittman said that he needs some playing time and could return to the team during its upcoming four-game road trip, which begins on Friday. ... Sixers G Tony Wroten is out with a sprained right ankle. Brown refused to estimate how long he will be sidelined. Wroten sustained the injury on Saturday in Chicago. ... Philadelphia F Brandon Davies missed the game with a dislocated right pinkie. ... Washington F Trevor Booker was out with a sprained left ankle. ... Adam Silver, who will succeed David Stern as NBA commissioner next month, sat with Wizards owner Ted Leonsis.        '''
